Dive Vessel Triton: Southern California Diving Experience
Triton's Legacy: A Long History in the Sea Urchin Harvest Fishery
DV Triton, originally designed and built in Oxnard, CA in 1992 for the Sea Urchin harvest fishery, has been renowned for its speed, stability, safety, and comfort for over 30 years.
In 2021, the original owner retired, and the new owners, who have deep roots in both the Sea Urchin harvest fishery and the local Technical Diving community, decided to incorporate small group chartering into their business plan.
The Triton way embraces continual improvements in comfort and safety, with several upcoming additions, including new 3D mapping bottom sonar technology that enables us to create a real-time 3D model of the seabed while anchored over your favorite dive spot.
During the vessel's recent haul-out, we completed the diver dressing stations for the back deck and introduced a new diver dressing station for the main deck.
Featuring a below-the-waterline swim platform and a spacious swim step, boarding the vessel after your dive is effortless.
Our latest enhancement, the dedicated deco station with positions at 30’ and 15’, ensures that decompression is comfortable and less chaotic than using the anchor line.
We are committed to providing the diving community with the best experience possible, and we look forward to sharing many more remarkable moments with you on board Triton.
